Responsibilities:

     
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax returns according to prescribed deadlines;
  • Present the company's financial results and make recommendations to the management team, shareholders, and lenders;
  • Ensure the accuracy, analysis, and optimization of the cost of manufactured products in collaboration with operations to support profitability and strategic decision-making;
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to organize the department and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies;
  • Manage the preparation of files for government authorities;
  • Manage the preparation of audit files and follow up with external auditors;
  • Manage financial planning, including the preparation and management of the company's three-year budgets and projections on an annual basis;
  • Monitor and update financial performance indicators;
  • Be the primary resource for external auditors, lenders, shareholders, and other financial partners;
  • Plan the development and implementation of financing strategies, including monitoring available grants and credits and managing applications;
  • Manage and implement a paperless transition project by 2028;
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and risks.
  • Hire, organize, train, and manage the accounting team (6).

Requirements and Qualifications:

     
  • Excellent agility with various ERP systems 
  • Experience with Business Central, an asset 
  • Must be proficient in Office 365 with strong knowledge of MS Office 
  • Manufacturing experience, an asset 
  • More than 8 years of experience after obtaining the CPA designation
  • Hold the CPA professional designation, mandatory
  • Be bilingual, both spoken and written, mandatory (80% of our suppliers and customers are English-speaking)
