Night Shift production supervisor - Flexible Packaging Industry

We are currently looking for a production Supervisor on the night shift (11pm to 7am).

Responsibilities:

Optimize production efficiency by reducing setup times, ensuring proper machine speed, and upholding quality standards for finished products.
Work closely with the maintenance and management teams to ensure equipment is running efficiently at all times.
Review production instructions (dockets) for accuracy and ensure teams follow them accordingly.
Maintain rigorous quality standards by proactively monitoring processes and addressing any non-compliance without delay.
Identify, recommend, and implement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and improving work methods, actively participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date production reports and documentation.
Foster a healthy and respectful work environment, building trust with all night shift team members.
Manage daily attendance, leaves, and absences to ensure effective coverage of operational needs.
Contribute actively to staff performance reviews and support disciplinary actions when appropriate.

Qualifications and skills:

Knowledge of the flexible packaging industry
Supervisory experience (an asset) with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Resourceful and open-minded
Strong initiative and ability to resolve issues effectively
Comfortable using computer tools, including Outlook and ERP systems
Proficiency in French, spoken and written (primary working language)
Ability to communicate in English verbally, as needed, to interact with certain employees, suppliers, or external partners who communicate in English
